Beauty Queen on a Budget

Pageantry came be a costly hobby but you don't need to spend big bucks in order to blow everyone away with your style.

Here are 5 favourite places to find those all important bargains

Facebook resale groups

I have spent countless hours of my life scrolling the various resale pages. There are so many! GlassSlipper.co, Couture specific groups, UK resales, Curve/Plus size and a handful of ISO (In search of) groups where you can post a picture in order to find a specific garment.

For my clients across the pond, Queenly has been a godsend. Unfortunately the app is not live here in the UK yet but some sellers are willing to post internationally, as long as you cover the postage and the all important import fees which is an extra 20% of the value of the garment. I tell my clients to change the $ to a £. If a dress is $500 be prepared to pay roughly £500 all in.

Ebay

I have been known to get a $600 Sherri hill fulled beaded dress (brand new) for £12.50 with postage. A great tip is to set alerts to new listings of your favourite brands.

Depop

An old favourite, you really cant go wrong with a good depop scroll. This has to be the UK's biggest preloved app with thousands of new listings everyday. I save my frequent searches and can easilty see how many new listings there are for that particular search item. Perfect if you are looking for a specific garment.

Vinted

Vinted has to be my new favourite preloved app! Find the items you like and save them to your 'favourites', you will get notifications when the seller reduces the item or wants to offer you a special discount. The user experience is seamless and I HIGHLY recommend you get on it before everyone else does.
